Five former Akkeron hotels sold out of administration

Five hotels that were operated by Barinbrook Limited, formerly part of Akkeron Hotels, have been sold out of administration.

The company went into administration on 26 February, after changing its name from Akkeron Hotels days before.

Five of the leasehold hotels have now been sold to West Register (Property Investments) Limited and will be managed by Jupiter Hotels, saving 133 jobs.

The hotels include Quality Hotel, Bury St Edmunds; Quality Hotel, Colchester; Quality Hotel, Peterborough; Cromwell Hotel, Stevenage; and Quality Hotel, Kings Lynn.

Zolfo Cooper partner Nick Cropper said: "We are delighted that a sale of these five hotels has been achieved and would like to thank the staff for their support and professionalism during this process."
