Former waiter on rape bid charge

A former waiter at an Indian restaurant is facing jail for vicious attacks on two women in Southsea, Hampshire.

Syed Mokit, 25, who worked at the Taj restaurant in Osborne Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court last week to attempted rape of an 18-year-old and indecent assault on a 50-year-old in April.

He bit the 18-year-old on her bottom and face and the other on her face. He is due to be sentenced tomorrow (Friday).
