Jeffreys takes on tourism society chair

Elizabeth Jeffreys, former chief executive of Marketing Manchester, has been elected chairman of the Tourism Society.
She has 18 years' experience in the tourism industry, spanning positions within hotels, visitor and convention bureaux, and local authority tourism.
She will be chairman until June 2001.
