Manchester to get UK's second Tulip Inn
The new hotel being built at the Trafford Centre in Manchester is to be the country's second Tulip Inn budget hotel. The property will be a franchise of Golden Tulip Hotels Worldwide and a sister hotel to the Golden Tulip Manchester, at Old Trafford. The 121-bedroom Tulip Inn is due to open in late September, with prices starting at £49.50 per night. Brian Scurrah, general manager of the Golden Tulip Manchester said: "The Tulip Inn-branded hotel will offer a lower-priced but high quality alternative for business and leisure visitors to the city." Although the brand name is relatively new to the UK, the hotel at the Trafford Centre will be the 127th Tulip Inn in Europe.
