New-build Premier Lodge to feature in Cardiff Bay

Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) Retail is to build and operate an 85-bedroom Premier Lodge in Cardiff Bay.
Construction of the budget hotel will begin in October and is due for completion in autumn 2002. It will form the centrepiece of a four-acre, £7.5m leisure complex by developer Brunswick and Broadhall.
The development will create 300 jobs and include two drive-through fast-food restaurants and a 25,000sq ft fitness and leisure club.
The hotel is part of S&N's plan to spend more than £100m on building 50 Premier Lodges by the end of next year.
