The 75 vending machines operated around the 500 acre Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire need to be continuously monitored and restocked to ensure optimum control of stock, cash control and other factors. With the Vend Online service which BT Redcare showcased at AVEX, data gathered via remote telemetric links to each machine is uploaded to a secure website.

As well as providing the park management with detailed reports, data is also important for brand partners such as Cadbury, Coca-Cola and Glaxo Smith Kline who can easily access the sales information on the products whenever they want to and from wherever they are.
