Orchid to refurbish 13 Living Room sites
Orchid is to revamp all 13 of its Living Room sites.
The investment, which aims to give the outlets a ‘lighter and brigher' feel, follows the brand's acquisition by the Orchid Group, as part of the takeover of Premium Bars and Restaurants at the end of 2009.
The refurbishments will retain the essential ‘modular' character of The Living Room, with different areas for varying needs and occasions.
Adam Bowers, head of marketing for the Living Room said: "The Living Room is a fantastic brand, and when it first opened ten years ago, the design, product quality, service and attention to detail created an entirely new restaurant and bar culture."
He adds, "Other retailers have since followed The Living Room into the market, creating the need to update the brand on the High Street. One of the attractions for Orchid Group of the PBR acquisition was the opportunity to evolve The Living Room without losing its brand essence."
The first of The Living Room bars to be refurbished with an evolved design are Nottingham and Leeds, which re-opened during mid-June and July. Next on the refresh schedule is Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh, with further investments to follow.
