Owner of Beach Blanket Babylon to open new site named West Thirty Six

A new all-day restaurant named West Thirty Six is to open in London's Notting Hill later this month.

Owned by London entrepreneur Robert Newmark, who is director of the Beach Blanket Babylon bars in Notting Hill and Shoreditch, the new site is a collaboration between Newmark and hospitality openings consultant Cheila Reais, of CR Consultancy, who will operate the venue.

Executive head chef will be John Pollard, formerly of the Soho House Group. Piers Walker, former director of food and beverage at recently-opened London Southbank hotel the Mondrian, from Morgans Hotel Group, will also be helping to market the offer.

Newmark's other projects include the Freedom Bar in Soho.
