The board of Queens Moat Houses has announced that ANDREW LE POIDEVIN, deputy chief executive and group finance director, has decided to leave the group on 30 March 2001. ASHLEY KRAIS, director of corporate finance, will join the board on 2 January 2001 and will become finance director on Le Poidevin's departure.

PAUL MILSOM, joint proprietor of Le Talbooth restaurant and Maison Talbooth hotel in Dedham, Essex, and the Pier at Harwich, Essex, has been

elected chairman of the Eastern regional committee of the British Hospitality Association. He succeeds DUDLEY CLARKE on 1 January 2001.

Caterers Association, has been elected as the new chairman of the organisation for a two-year period. She succeeds IAN WASSON, with SUE KILBEY (right) replacing her as vice-chairman.

JAMESON KING, previously sous chef at the Fifth Floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols, London, has been appointed head chef at Branca Bar Kitchen in Oxford.

DIANA BANKS, previously Millennium Hotels & Resorts director of sales for the UK, has been appointed to the newly created role of director of sales for Europe.

JOHN O'MALLEY has joined Macdonald Hotels as director of operations for England and Wales. He was formerly group operations director at Menzies Hotels.

GARRY FRIEND has been appointed general manager of the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh, just north of Naama Bay on the Red Sea in Egypt. He was previously executive assistant manager for food and beverage at the same resort.

RICCO DE BLANK has been appointed general manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. He joins from the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, where he was hotel manager.

ROBERT GOLLINGS has been appointed director of culinary services at the Windjammer Landing Resort, St Lucia, West Indies. He previously worked as a freelance chef both in the UK and internationally.

LORRAINE RICHARDSON has been appointed corporate sales manager at the Millennium Hotel London, in Knightsbridge. She joins from the Hilton St Ermins, also in London, where she was conference and banqueting business development manager.

RODOLPHE COMBES has joined the Ivy House hotel in Alloway, Ayrshire, as deputy manager. He was previously restaurant manager at the Lochgreen House hotel in

Troon, Ayrshire. Also joining the Ivy House is AMANDA STRACHAN, who joins as sous chef. She was previously working on board the P&O ship, Oriana, as pastry chef.5
