Savage
Travelodge has appointed Catriona Savage to the newly created position of director of sales and field marketing. She previously worked as head of corporate sales with Marriott UK. Manchester hoteliers Eamonn and Sally O'Loughlin have appointed Wendy Marston as group sales director for their Didsbury House, Eleven Didsbury Park and soon to be opened Great John Street hotels. She was previously a sales consultant at the Lowry Hotel, also in Manchester.

McPherson
Andrew McPherson, previously general manager at Skibo Castle in the Highlands, has joined Swinton Park hotel in the Yorkshire Dales as general manager. Edinburgh's Balmoral hotel, part of Rocco Forte Hotels, has chosen Claire Yetton as guest relations manager. Yetton was a manager at the Harvey Nichols department store in Edinburgh. #### Other

David Houslander has joined Hopkinson Catering as purchasing director. He was sales and marketing director at Vendepac. Andy Kemp has been appointed chairman of Arena, the hospitality industry networking group. He is group sales director of 3663 First for Foodservice.

Penny Moore has been promoted to chief executive of Hospitality Action, the industry's benevolent charity. She previously worked as director of strategy and marketing. Guy Beardsmore has been appointed corporate chef with Sargento Foods, Wisconsin, USA. He was previously senior development chef with Whitbread.
