Gilbert Verbelen has joined the five-star, 1,203-bedroom Regal Airport Hotel at Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong. Gilbert, the new general manager, was previously manager of the Fraser Suites Residences in Seoul, South Korea.

Hotel franchisor Golden Tulip has appointed Jos Bos as general counsel, to handle its legal matters. Jos joins the management team from law firm Simmons & Simmons Trenite, where he was a partner.

Restaurants

Jason Li has joined the Dorchester hotel's Oriental restaurant in London as restaurant manager. Jason moves to the three AA-rosette, 81-seat restaurant from London Chinese restaurant Hakkasan.

Charlton House has promoted senior operations manager Paul Jackson to the position of divisional director. Paul's new role will see him looking after the London and South-east area.

Missenden Abbey, a functions venue in Buckinghamshire, has welcomed Marc Mordant as food and beverage manager. Marc previously worked at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Boston, USA.

The board of the Rank Group will be taking on Richard Greenhalgh as a non-executive director from 1 July. Richard is currently chairman of consumer goods manufacturer Unilever, but will retire from this position at the end of June.
