Mark Wahmhoff has been appointed resident manager of the Churchill
Inter-Continental, London. He joins from the Semiramis Inter-Continental Cairo, where he has been executive assistant manager in charge of the rooms division since 1995.
Andrew Bridgford has returned to Middlethorpe Hall in York as manager, having previously worked there as assistant manager and then manager from 1989 to 1993. He has been working as a hotel inspector for the AA.
Stakis has appointed Thomas Graham as general manager for the Edinburgh area, overseeing the Stakis Edinburgh Airport and Stakis Grosvenor hotels. He has been with the company for eight years - four of which were spent as general manager of the Edinburgh Airport hotel.
Simon Berry has been promoted to managing director of English Lakes Hotels. Currently marketing director, he has been with the group since 1985. He takes over from Michael Berry, who will remain chairman.
Regent International Hotels has appointed two new members to the company's executive management team. Tom Hendrick becomes vice-president of development - Americas, having previously worked with Columbus Hotel Properties. Jim Beard has been appointed vice-president of operations, having previously been with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
