Refurbishment causes further delay at Paris's Meurice hotel

The reopening of luxury Paris hotel the Meurice has been put back a second time, from April to May, because refurbishment work is taking longer than expected. It has been closed since March 1999 and was originally due to start taking guests in December.

Delays have also affected the full refurbishment of another luxury hotel in Paris, the George V. Four Seasons, which is running the hotel, had hoped it would be fully openby the beginning of February, but 43 of its 245 bedrooms are still being finished. The hotel should be fully open by the end of the month.
