Over £55,000 was raised through hospitality charity Springboard's Saints & Sinners: The Alternative Big Event this week at London's QEII Centre.
500 guests were entertained by Rockaoke, the London International Gospel Choir, and cabaret from Martin Dibben, operations director of Ampersand Catering. David Meade hosted the evening's entertainment, while cuisine was provided by the centre's head chef Jean Michel Viala and Taste by Leith's, and wine provided by Conviviality.
Springboard's FutureChef alumni worked behind the scenes, with FutureChef alumni Tom Hamblet and Eden Allsworth showing how far they have come thanks to the initiative. Guests also heard from three Springboard beneficiaries on the night who had been through the Diageo Learning for Life and Galvin's Chance programmes.
Future highlights on the Springboard events calendar include Springboard's Scottish Golf Day, Hospitality Sailing Cup and Team Velo Challenge. Springboard's Ultra Challenge was also announced at the event: four races over four years on four continents.
The evening was sponsored by DRP group, Totaljobs, Fairfax Meadow, QEII Taste by Leith's, Bidvest, Town & Country Fine Foods and Conviviality. Additionally, the evening was sponsored by Davin Food, Robinsons Brewery, Nestlé Professional, the Bread Factory, Cawston Press, the Palm Beach Casino, Elizabeth Marsh Floral Design, Off to Work, CKN Printers, London Calling Coffee Company, Edgar's Choice, Critique, Allens Hire and Harri.
