Which careers fairs should I attend for jobs in Mexico and Cuba?

Question

I finished my BSc Hons in International Hospitality and Tourism Management in the University of Surrey in June. I am looking for a job in Cuba or Mexico or, failing this, in the Mediterranean.

Can you tell me which careers fairs to attend, either in London or Europe, and advise me on other ways to find a job in these areas?

The [World Travel Market](http://www.worldtravelmart.co.uk) is one of the most important travel shows in the world. It takes place in London in November, and the regions you are interested in will all be represented. The [International Tourism Exchange ](http://www.fair.itb-berlin.com)(ITB) in Berlin takes place in March. IFB, too, is an important trade show, and often senior managers use this show to recruit new people. [Borsa Internazionale del Turismo ](http://bit.expocts.it/eng/default.htm)(BIT) in Milan is a good show, specialising in Mediterranean markets. BIT is in February. You could also try targeting hotels in the regions you are interested in directly. Address your letter to the general manager. There are several ways to compile a list of hotels: - try the Web site for [Leading Hotels of the World. This site includes the names of general managers - use a travel trade directory. You should find one in a decent library or, if you ask a travel agency nicely, they may give you their copy from last year - look at both local and international hotel Web sites - review the Chamber of Commerce records for your chosen regions.
