Levy Restaurants wins £23.8m Earls Court and Olympia deal
Compass Group's Levy Restaurants brand has won a new seven-year contract with London exhibition venues Earls Court and Olympia worth £23.8m.
The new deal was awarded to the caterer's growing sports and leisure brand following a competitive tender. The operations had been managed by Compass Group's sports and leisure team for the past eight years.
Colin Bailey, the division's managing director, commented: "Compass Group UK & Ireland has built a strong relationship with Earls Court and Olympia over the past eight years and understanding their needs, and those of their clients, is central to this.
"The customer is at the heart of Levy Restaurants' culture and we are very much looking forward to continue working with Earls Court and Olympia to ensure that these venues offer the customer experience of choice for conferencing and events."
Levy Restaurants will deliver stand catering, private hospitality and conference catering at both venues, which host more than 300 events and see around 2.5 million people visit each year.
The caterer will open two new purpose-built restaurants in the Olympia Central exhibition space in September: a modern destination outlet on level one that will be able to adjust its offer according to the events held in the hall; and a new level two café that will provide a "grab-and-go" offer.
Levy will also invest in building and equipping a state of the art production kitchen at Olympia, replacing the current kitchen in Earls Court that has been in use since 1938.
Nigel Nathan, group managing director at Earls Court and Olympia, said: "We have forged strong links with Compass Group during the past eight years and look forward to partnering one of their most exciting brands going forward."
