Kricket announces second site for 2016

The team behind Indian restaurant Kricket have announced the opening of a second site this year in Soho, London.

The original site, a 20-seater restaurant in Brixton set inside a shipping container, opened in June 2015 serving small Indian plates and cocktails at Pop Brixton.

The new, larger central London site will offer the same menu, and co-owners chef Will Bowlby and front of house Rik Campbell have confirmed that the original restaurant in Pop Brixton will remain open.

Kricket has been backed by the White Rabbit Growth Fund, a hospitality investment vehicle founded by Chris Miller.

Campbell said: "We're thrilled to be opening our second restaurant in Soho and couldn't have hoped for a better spot. Much like Brixton, Soho is a unique and creative London hub that has great energy, vibrancy, a brilliant mix of people and ever-evolving food scene. We can't wait to be a part of it and bring our version of modern Indian cuisine to a wider audience."
