Green light for Anglesey Premier Inn

Ynys Mon County Council has granted planning permission for an 80-bedroom Premier Inn hotel at Parc Cybi in Holyhead, Anglesey.

The planning application was submitted by development group Conygar Investment Company in August this year, following the completion of a lease agreement with Premier Inn Hotels over the gateway site.

Construction is expected to take approximately 10 months and commence early in the new year.

The hotel will include a restaurant and bar, and parking spaces for 84 vehicles.

Robert Ware, chief executive of Conygar, said: "Premier Inn is a high-quality partner and opening a new hotel in Holyhead will provide a significant boost to the town's economy, create at least 20 full-time jobs and improve the facilities available for tourists on Anglesey."

Whitbread, the parent company of Premier Inn, has an overall UK and Ireland target of 85,000 bedrooms by 2020, with the majority of this pipeline now secure, according to the group.
