Modern Indian bistro Farzi Café to open first UK restaurant
Modern Indian bistro Farzi Café is to open its first UK restaurant in London's Haymarket.
Owned by Massive Restaurants, Farzi Café has grown to nine sites in India and one in Dubai since it was founded by food columnist, author and food consultant Jiggs Kalra alongside his son and MasterChef India judge Zorawar Kalra, in 2012.
Farzi Café London will be overseen by chef Saurabh Udinia, who will utilise molecular gastronomy to create "food theatre".
The restaurants new site was secured by Restaurant Property.
Senior surveyor Guy Marks, said: "Just a stone's throw from the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, the new Farzi Café site is in a prime location to capture the pre and post-theatre crowd, as well as the many other visitors to this popular region in the City of Westminster.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to work closely with Nikhil, Neal and the team and I am delighted that we have been able to help them secure their first London site, which I'm sure will be a tremendous success."
