Peak District village inn on the market

A 300-year-old Derbyshire village inn that is popular with hill walkers and tourists has been put on the market.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn, which carries a four-diamond rating, is in the busy Peak District village of Castleton in Hope Valley.

It offers ten en-suite bedrooms along with a lounge bar and 60-seat restaurant both featuring beamed ceilings.

The business turns over around £300,000 a year, with wet sales and food accounting for 45% of sales each and accommodation contributing the remaining 10%.

Davey & Co is seeking offers of around £795,000 for the freehold.
