Rachel Humphrey of Le Gavroche, Ben Batchelor of Aramark's BP Sunbury contract, and Gaetan Morillon of Morton's learned last week that they were the top scorers in their respective disciplines of kitchen, pastry and service in this year's Academy of Culinary Arts Annual Awards of Excellence. Their main prize is a culinary tour of Louisiana, plus individual scholarships. The trio, along with 16 other young professionals, gained their award of excellence at the end of April (Caterer 22 April, page 14).
