Aramark has joined the Institute of Customer Service (ICS), becoming the first contract caterer to do so.
It aims to ensure that innovation and excellence in customer service will be driven throughout Aramark by working with the institute on joint initiatives that will be rolled out to the business next year.
"You can provide the best food and facilities management in the world, but it's got to be accompanied by outstanding customer service if you're to have truly satisfied clients," commented Andrew Main, Aramark's chief executive.
"We will be an active member of the ICS and demonstrate that, while many talk about the importance of customer service, it will be at the heart of our frontline operations and absolutely embedded in our DNA. And our clients will have the reassurance that we are the only food service provider to be working with this respected body on this business-critical issue."
The ICS is the independent, professional membership body for customer service.
