Bournemouth and Poole College awarded WACS recognition

Bournemouth and Poole College has received a recognition of quality award from the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).

The college is the first further education establishment to receive the award and only the third college in Europe to be honoured by WACS, a global network of top chefs.

Adrian Martin, head of hospitality at Bournemouth and Poole College, said he was delighted with the award. "Our catering department has long been considered one of the best in the country and has won multiple awards and acclaim over the years.

"However, this award is very different. We are all buzzing here. It is due to a huge amount of hard work on the staff's part but also the work students have put in."

Bournemouth and Poole College has also recently become the UK's first college to be awarded the gold standard by the newly formed Hospitality Guild.
