Charlton House wins contract at Oxford university
Charlton House has been awarded a £540,000 catering contract Oxfordshire University Administration and Services (OUAS), the collective term for the central administrative departments of the University of Oxford.
Under the three-year deal, worth £180k in annual turnover, Charlton House will manage a full restaurant service for 400 people on the Wellington Square site in Oxford.
Prior to the start of the contract on 2 November, the independent caterer managed a full refurbishment of the restaurant to make it competitive with the high street.
Ben Mann, the business development manager responsible for gaining the new contract, said: "We gave the restaurant and the menu a full make-over to provide contemporary food in an attractive environment. The emphasis is now on fresh, seasonal food, all made on site by our team of four."
The team will provide a Salad Bar, Deli Bar, a hot main menu and a range of ‘grab and go' items.
