Education caterer Chartwells has been given top marks by Oaklands College, who has extended its £6.7m catering contract for a further 10 years.
The Compass Group business will continue to provide catering and retail for the college's employees and nearly 8,000 students in the refectories at St Albans City Campus, Smallford Campus and Welwyn Garden City Campus.
Tony Byrne, Chartwells managing director, said: "We are delighted to be working with Oaklands College for a further 10 years. We have worked really hard to develop great offers for the College to give both our clients and our consumers the products and services they require."
In addition to high street brand Costa Coffee, Fairtrade and Rain Forest Alliance tea and coffee, the catering offer will include a selection of Compass' branded healthy food and meals which take inspiration from around the world.
Hospitality is also provided for the college for a variety of functions from client meetings to large inset days to events on the weekend.
David Broadhead from Oaklands College, said: "The Chartwells team has a ‘can do' attitude which is apparent in how they react to our requirements including supporting external events at the college. We are also pleased with their flexibility and capacity to respond to the changing needs of our students."
