Elior introduces pop-up concepts to help increase sales

Contract caterer Elior UK has launched a new breakfast concept, which is designed to help client sites create more sales opportunities at workplace restaurants.

The pop-up American-style Club Breakfast will offer customers a choice of waffles, French toast or pancakes with a selection of toppings including fruit compotes, syrups and crispy bacon.

Sites will also be able to increase sales later in the day with the City Bakes Co concept, which will feature snacks such as cookies, flapjacks and shortbread.

Mark Crowe, Elior UK strategic development chef, added: "Demand for innovation, international flavours and a sense of fun is transforming breakfast menus.

"It's now the fastest growing meal occasion of the day and consumers are beginning to look for ways to mix it up by adding extra flavours. Since American-themed dishes are so popular on the high street at the moment, Club Breakfast is the perfect solution - taste, customisation and theatre in one delicious package."

The City Bakes Co and Club Breakfast concepts join the recently launched lunch concepts, including a buttermilk chicken offer.

Elior operates catering contracts across business & industry, health & care homes, defence, education, stadia and heritage sectors.

At the beginning of this month Elior Group reported a 3.3% year-on-year increase in revenue to €4.42b (£3.74b) for the nine months to 30 June 2016.
