Jackson Gilmour wins Danish Olympic contract at the Natural History Museum
Event caterer Jackson Gilmour has won a contract to cater for the great and the good of Denmark at the Natural History Museum during the 2012 Olympics.
The one-off event, expected to be worth in the region of £100,000, will take place in early August.
Hosted by the Danish Olympic Committee and Sport One Denmark, the event will be attended by Danish dignitaries as well as the Danish Olympic team.
Anne Aitken, marketing director at Jackson Gilmour, said it's always a delight to work at this spectacular venue and I am not surprised the Danes chose the Natural History Museum for their flagship Olympic event.
"We will be serving classic British food with a creative twist and creating a bespoke cocktail to commemorate the occasion."
Jackson Gilmour is one of a number of approved caterers at the venue. It saw off competition from a number of rival operators in a tender process that included a written quote followed by an extensive tasting.
Kim Kristoffersen, commercial director for Sport One Denmark, added: "This is a very important event for us so we were very careful about choosing the right caterer.
"We have tasted Jackson Gilmour's food and not only does it look wonderful, it tastes fantastic, too. We are extremely confident that they will be able to deliver this high standard for 400 people on the night."
