Just Hospitality secures £2m Yahoo deal

Just Hospitality has signed a two-year catering contract with Yahoo worth £2m.

The new deal follows a successful first year in 2013 running the hot food offer at the internet company's London office.

Dean Kennett, managing director of Just Hospitality, commented: "Yahoo has been great for us. They've let us focus on what we do best and what really excites us - the food. Along with many businesses in the technology, media and telecoms industry, their approach to staff catering is really the future.

"The old staff canteen is a dying model. With the street offer so diverse businesses have to do something special to keep staff on-site."

According to the company, that "something special" involved replacing on-site kitchens, sit-down dinners and large echoey dining spaces with fresh, healthy, "nibble-friendly" meals and intimate staff restaurants.

Matt Byne, director of food, added: "Despite cooking largely off-site, we produce 99% of our food from scratch, which gives us massive scope to be flexible, seasonal and exciting with the menus. It also means our chefs have to really know their stuff."
