New regional managing director appointed as BaxterStorey eyes the south west

BaxterStorey has appointed Mack Allan as regional managing director for the south west and Wales as it looks to strengthen its presence in the region.

Allan's appointment has coincided with the opening of a new regional office in Bristol, close to existing clients including Burgess Salmon, ONS and Nationwide.

He said: "The south west and Wales is a strong growth area and we have some fantastic clients here. My role is to nurture these relationships and set us up for the next stage in our growth across this thriving region.

"Contract catering has moved on so much since I joined the industry and it is now recognised that businesses like BaxterStorey take pride in providing their clients with high quality, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.

"I'm excited about returning to the area and I'm really looking forward to renewing some old acquaintances."

Allan began his career as a chef in the armed forces and joined BaxterStorey in 2000, since when he has progressed through various leadership roles in Reading, London and Scotland. His last role was regional director for Scotland where he was responsible for supporting his clients and extensive team while developing new opportunities for the business.

John Bennett, co-chief executive at BaxterStorey, said: We're delighted to appoint Mack as regional managing director with his wealth of experience and strong knowledge of the local area."
