Pabulum scoops £1.3m school contract
Independent contract caterer Pabulum has been appointed to manage the catering for Ravens Wood School in Bromley, Kent in a contract worth £1.3million.
The caterers will take over the five year contract at Ravens Wood this summer to coincide with the opening of the school's new food technology and dining facility.
Paul Donlan, Pabulum's director of sales, said: "Our commitment to delivering high quality catering solutions that are both innovative and cost effective, and are supported by a personal and collaborative working relationship, is a very attractive proposition in today's tough economic climate because we are able to add value to the relationship and support the schools we work with in delivering their visions to students and parents alike."
The new facility at the school is due to be completed later this month and will include the school's dining hall, kitchens, a new coffee shop, and a new Food Technology area.
Pabulum plans to introduce a cashless payment system to reduce queues for the 1,500 students. It will also support healthy eating initiatives by enabling the students to collect points when they choose particularly healthy options from the menus.
Pabulum already has several contracts in the school, further and higher education markets as well as B&I clients which include Body Shop and The London Ambulance service.
