Hospitality companies that do their upmost to look after and retain their staff are being sought for the Springboard Awards for Excellence 2010.
Now in their eighth year, the awards are seeking entries which can be made by individuals, teams or partnerships for initiatives that have achieved measurable results over the past 12 months.
The awards are divided into three categories. The first category, promoting careers, covers the Springboard Ambassadors, best regional initiative, web and education awards. In the attracting people category, there are the young people, best student placement, diversity in employment, best initiative to attract chefs and best initiative to attract people into management awards.
The final category - best employment practice - covers the best employer, best career progression, retention, best recruitment initiative, corporate responsibility and people innovation awards. And finally, there is the Chris Beaumont Special Award for the most outstanding contribution towards Springboard aims.
The closing date for entries is 30 September and the winners will be announced as a celebration evening in London on 29 November.
