Energy With energy prices rising, factor these costs into the buying decision. A faster heat-up time will cut overall energy use
Running costs Factor in all the variables, not just energy. Steamers and combis may need a water treatment system; some ovens may need more complicated servicing than others. A higher priced unit that runs more economically may ultimately be better value
Look after it Proper care and maintenance will lengthen the life of your oven and ensure it's always operating efficiently
The right choice Focus on what you want your oven to do. Base your choice on the menu you plan to cook in it
Training Ensure the supplier offers full after-sales training support, and is willing to train the staff who will be using the oven - this may take more than one session
