Well done, Ark Foundation

Students of hospitality and tourism management at the University of Strathclyde recently had a guest lecture from Michael Quinn, former maître chef de cuisine at the Ritz, London, on alcoholism and drug abuse in our industry.

It was one of the most thought-provoking discussions they have ever had. While Michael has given many of these talks to hospitality students, I think there's also a real need for his message to go out to industry at large.

I would urge industry professionals, particularly HR managers, to get in touch with The Ark Foundation, part of Hospitality Action (www.hospitalityaction.org.uk), to set up a meeting. You owe it to your staff to do this.
