£8m aparthotel opens in Reading

The £8m House of Fishers 100 Kings Road aparthotel in central Reading has officially opened.

The 50 apartment site includes a 24 hour reception and gym.

It was opened by The Independent‘s travel editor Simon Calder yesterday.

John Fisher, chairman of House of Fisher, said: "The contemporary apart-hotel supports and accommodates the progressive demands of the high value workforce, who are driving the world-class Thames Valley business region forward.

"This mixed-use apartment scheme has been a remarkable transformation and has, in effect, acted as a catalyst for the renaissance of this section of Kings Road; now culminating in a ‘Fulham Road' affect, with coffee shops and restaurants opening alongside designer apartment schemes."
