Accor to open Etap-branded hotel in South London

Hotel giant Accor is to manage a new 100-bedroom property in South London as part of its no-frills Etap brand.

The new hotel will be located on a newly built level of the St Nicholas shopping centre in London suburb Sutton.

It is being designed by architects Moren Gregory for owner Golfrate.

Shopping-centre owner Golfrate is already working with Accor and Moren Gregory on a flagship 600-bedroom Ibis hotel in London's Trocadero, which it bought in May 2004.

Scheduled to open in early 2010, the new property will have its entrance on Shaftsbury Avenue and each £85 room will feature a flat-screen television and en suite bathroom.
