Bannatyne's Charlton House spa hotel hires Phil Brown as general manager

Bannatyne's Charlton House spa hotel in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, has appointed Phil Brown as its new general manager. Brown, 29, has 14 years' experience in the hospitality industry, holding a range of management positions in Bristol, Brighton and Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He was also a member of the openings team at Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, and played a key role in the opening of nine hotels over a two-year period.

He joins Bannatyne's after working as a consultant to hospitality groups on brand amalgamation projects and hotel openings. Bannatyne's acquired Charlton House earlier this year and has since embarked on a six-figure programme of refurbishments and upgrades to the hotel and its facilities.
