Edinburgh Quality and Enfield Comfort are Choice's top hotels
The Quality Hotel Edinburgh Airport and the Comfort Hotel Enfield have been named the top hotels of their respective brands by parent company Choice Hotels International.
Both hotels scooped their titles after the judges considered each property's guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores, as well as their consistent brand performance. The success of the Quality Hotel Edinburgh Airport follows on from it winning the European Quality Hotel of the Year in 2008.
"Congratulations to both these hotels on this great accomplishment," said Duncan Berry, chief executive of Choice Hotels Europe, UK. "They are excellent showcases for our newly-enhanced brand standards that offer a consistent, upmarket experience for guests across all our franchised hotels.
Choice Hotels also named the Quality Hotel Berlin Tegel in Germany as its International Quality Hotel of the Year and the Clarion Hotel Sign in Stockholm, Sweden as the International Clarion Hotel of the Year.
"I'm delighted that Europe is home to the two hotel properties that have been judged to be the best Quality and the best Clarion in all markets outside the US," Berry said.
Choice Hotels Europe, which is a subsidiary of Choice Hotels International, operates nearly 500 hotels in Europe. There are over 40 Choice hotels in the UK under the Comfort, Quality, Sleep Inn and Clarion brands.
