First-time buyers for York hotel

First time buyers have snapped up the Cottage Hotel in York and converted it into a boutique-style venture called Hotel Noir.

The hotel in Clifton Green provides 25 bedrooms, a 36-seat restaurant with exposed beams and, for the owners, an en-suite double bedroom and compact rear garden.

The Leeds office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £1.2m to first time hotel buyers Steve Morrell and Natasha Screeton.
