Lingfield Park Marriott hotel announces key appointments

Key appointments have been made at the new 116-bedroom Lingfield Park Marriott hotel and country club, which is due to open in spring 2010.

Executive head chef is Kirk Johnson, who joins the property from the Alexander House hotel, Turner's Hill, West Sussex, where he was executive head chef. He has previously worked at the Hilton Brighton Metropole; Bridgewood Manor, Chatham, Kent; the Royal Albert Hall; Grosvenor House hotel, London; and the QE2.

Hutch Chizyuka Nathan Chart

Hutch Chizyuka, who has six years' experience of working for Marriott, has been recruited as operations manager. Originally from Zambia, he moved to the UK in 1998 and has worked for Ramada Hotels and Renaissance Hotels.

Meanwhile, director of sales is Nathan Chart, who joins from the Felbridge hotel and spa in East Grinstead, West Sussex. He has previously worked in a variety of sales positions at Cliveden, Buckinghamshire; Hilton London Gatwick Airport; Bexleyheath Marriott hotel and for Hanover International.
