Manchester's Princess St hotel to relaunch following £1.5m refurb

The Princess St hotel in Manchester will relaunch following a £1.5m refurbishment later this year.

The former Arora Manchester hotel in the city centre was purchased by Aspen Hotels in 2013 and rebranded as the Princess St hotel.

So far, the four-AA-star hotel has refurbished its lobby and public areas as well as opening its Lawn coffee shop. Work is now underway to refurbish the hotel's 141 bedrooms as well as meeting and event spaces, with further plans to give the hotel's restaurant and bar, 24, a full makeover.

The first phase of work on the bedrooms is due for completion in July, with the entire project scheduled to be finished within 2018.

"The demand of hotel guests constantly evolves - in the past, it's been the norm to want a branded chain, but individuality has now taken centre stage. We've embraced this change in mind set, ensuring we introduce new locally sourced treats and feature new photography and murals throughout the hotel regularly."
