New aparthotel to launch in Liverpool
A 51-unit aparthotel called the Richmond is set to open in Liverpool in March. Located in the Grade II-listed former Merseyrail building on Hatton Gardens, the Richmond is being developed by Middle England Development, a developer of student properties.
Middle England has set up a new company called Richmond Luxury Living to operate the property and Steven Hesketh has been appointed general manager, joining from the Bridge Street Aparthotel in Liverpool.
The Richmond, which has one, two- and three-bedroom suites, will offer hotel facilities including free WiFi, secretarial services and meeting facilities for up to 150.
Steven Hesketh, group director of Richmond Luxury Living, said The Richmond will have "work, rest and play" at its heart. "With guest services second to none, we feel the development will further enhance Liverpool's attraction to business and leisure guests and we look forward to opening in March," he added.
Kate Currie, interim convention bureau manager at Liverpool Convention Bureau, said: "Richmond Luxury Living represents the first of many new developments which open or break ground in 2013. It will be one of several new serviced apartments opening in the city and we are excited about the flexible accommodation it will provide to delegates and visitors alike."
