Moat House Hotels has appointed Ian Thomas head of sales. Ian joined the company last year as head of national accounts, following 10 years in sales at food manufacturer Kraft Foods. North British Trust Group, parent company of British Trust Hotels and Crerar Hotels, has made some internal staff changes. Graeme McDiarmid, who joined the group in March last year as general sales manager, has become general manager for marketing, research and development. Christine Miller, previously marketing manager, has become communications and brand manager. Formerly an area manager, Jeremy Legg has changed roles to become general manager for the company's Easybreaks division and reservations. North British Trust Group has also appointed two new marketing executives - Rachel Creegan and Donald Henderson. Rachel previously worked at regional newspaper the Aberdeen Press & Journal, while Donald was previously employed in the company's central reservations office. Hotel developer and franchisor Golden Tulip has four new members of staff at its 160-bedroom Manchester hotel. Glynn Dalby has become general manager, having left his post as operations manager for eight-strong hotel group English Rose Hotels. Joining as Glynn's deputy is Andrew Lamb, who previously worked at the Holiday Inn Haydock in Lancashire. The Golden Tulip in Manchester has also appointed Elaine Graham sales manager. She moves from the Somerset Atrium, a serviced residence in Manchester, where she was corporate sales manager. The new front-of-house manager is Yvonne Peters, who joins from Manchester's Lowry Hotel. She takes a step up from her previous role as deputy front office manager. Hotel and restaurant operator Whitbread has acquired a new group IT director. Ben Wishart joins the company from retailer Tesco, where he spent four years as a director in the IT division. ### Restaurants David Coubrough has joined Kit Chapman's brasserie group, Brazz, as a non-executive director. David is also executive chairman for the Bespoke Hotel Company, the management business set up by Furlong Hotels.
