Thistle Hotels launches review of marketing strategy

UK hotel group Thistle Hotels is reviewing its creative agency arrangements, according to a report in Marketing Week.

The pitch is being led by Thistle's sales and marketing director, Stuart Leven, and several agencies are said to be bidding for the marketing contract with a decision expected by the end of the year.

Thistle has shaken up its senior management team and operations recently after the appointment of new chief executive Tim Scoble last November.

Mike O'Mahoney, previously finance director at roadside caterer Little Chef, joined Thistle as chief financial officer in January this year, with Leven moving from Choice Hotels Europe in March.

Most recently the company has bolstered its senior management team with the arrival of operations directors Dave Cockburn and Chris Gillett.
