Acorn winner profiled on local BBC news

One of the winners of this year's Caterer and Hotelkeeper Acorn awards, which celebrate industry high-achievers under the age of 30, was profiled last night on BBC South East.

Scott Goss, head chef at The Swan in West Malling, Kent, was interviewed by a BBC reporter who described an Acorn award as ‘an Oscar' for the industry.

Goss, who at 25 was the youngest winner of an Acorn this year, told the programme: "Anybody can cook, but to cook with passion, love and understanding is something that doesn't come naturally to a lot of people. I suppose I have got it."
