Aramark signs deal to operate Wild Bean Café

Aramark has signed a deal to operate the first standalone Wild Bean Café in the UK.

The contract caterer will launch the latest Wild Bean, originally launched at petrol retailer BP's forecourts in 2001, at Portsmouth's Continental Ferry Port in Hampshire on 9 July.

Aramark already operates all catering at the port, which sees 1.9 million people pass through each year.

BP's UK convenience retail director Karen Hubbard said: "This is a natural progression of our existing roadside brand.

"Portsmouth port is the ideal location to launch this exciting new era for Wild Beach Café, with many car and vehicle driver who are already familiar with the brand."

The café will offer passengers baguettes, salads, pastries and fruit in addition to coffee and hot beverages.

BP has more than 200 Wild Bean Cafés at its petrol stations in England and Scotland.
