Casual Dining Group to open second Oriel site
The Casual Dining Group is to open its second Oriel restaurant this summer as it prepares to develop the French brasserie brand.
The 130 cover Chislehurst site will open after a £500,000 refurbishment overseen by Parisian designer Richard Lafond with a menu that builds on the dishes available at the Heathrow Terminal 3 site.
Casual Dining Group executive chef Martin Caws will introduce dishes such as flambée tarts, Burgundy snails, oeufs meurette and a hanger steak with shallots.
He said: "We're delighted to be bringing the classic Oriel brasserie to Chislehurst. Oriel was once known as an institution of French cuisine in the UK, and we're confident this new restaurant will prove very popular. It will also give us a fantastic opportunity to experiment and test some classic French menu items and recipes, to the benefit of the wider business."
The Casual Dining Group operates almost 300 sites in the UK with brands including Bella Italia, Café Rouge, Las Iguanas and La Tasca.
