Corrigan's wins praise but Buddha Bar gets a pasting from critic
Jasper Gerard at the Telegraph finds Richard Corrigan's new self-stylised restaurant Corrigan's in London's Mayfair "superb".
Gerard says the menu from the former Lindsay House chef is "showcasing typically gusty, gamey Irish coking" that he has built his reputation on.
The Observer's Jay Rayner visits the capital's Buddha Bar and says that with the UK heading into recession, there will undoubtedly be casualties amongst the restaurant trade and he hopes Buddha Bar is one of them.
Rayner describes the food as a combination of the "stupendously clumsy and grossly overpriced" and states "Buddha Bar is where hope, like the ingredients, goes to die".
