Côte to open second Limeyard site in Staines
Casual dining chain Côte will be opening a second Limeyard site in Staines after acquiring the brand earlier this year.
Retail and leisure agent Lunson Mitchenall has secured a 3,325 sq ft site on a 20-year lease for the restaurant on behalf of Aberdeen Asset Management at the Two Rivers shopping centre. The new restaurant is expected to open in spring 2017.
Côte bought Limeyard, an all-day American kitchen originally backed by Richard Caring, alongside Jackson + Rye for an undisclosed sum. There is currently just one Limeyard restaurant, in Ealing, and more sites are expected, particularly in the greater London region.
Two Rivers is jointly owned by client funds of Aberdeen Asset Management and M&G Real Estate.
Simon Moscow of Aberdeen Asset Management said: "Limeyard will serve to enhance the already impressive food and beverage line up Two Rivers boasts. We have seen a real customer appetite for quality restaurants brands, following the successful launch of Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Wagamama, and have been working closely with our joint agents to develop our growing reputation for providing and morning to evening offer."
George Oppenheim of Lunson Mitchenall added: "Limeyard is a great addition to the catering line-up at Two Rivers. Over the past 12 months we have seen a record stream of lettings with over 84,500 sq ft of new space exchanging, bringing the scheme to 99% let. The success we have seen on the catering and leisure side has been key to this, as we have worked to bring the centre more in line with the demands of its growing catchment."
