FishWorks to kick off at Chelsea

Restaurant chain and fishmongers FishWorks plans to open its next eaterie near Chelsea football club in London.

It will be the first of four planned openings next year, mainly in city neighbourhoods that already have a range of good food shops.

FishWorks chief executive Roy Morris said the firm was also in talks to buy a supplier in a bid to guarantee fresh fish and improve profit margins. "There's a fantastic opportunity for companies offering uncompromised, good-quality fish and seafood," he added.

The company's turnover in the 12 months to 29 February rose 51% to £5.4m. Earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation rose from a loss of £315,000 in the previous year to a profit of £217,000.
