Quarter bottles of Billecart-Salmon Champagne are now being offered to all passengers on British Airways Club Europe and World Traveller flights.

Wines from Louis Latour and Antonin Rodet will be served alongside prix fixé menus at the London bistro chain Café Flo from mid-February through to the end of March. Dishes on the £10.25 for a two-course, £12.95 for a three-course menu will include jambon Persillé and oeufs en Meurette.

Charles B Heidsieck, aged 23, has been made promotions manager of Champagne Charles Heidsieck UK.

He is the great, great grandson of Charles-Camille Heidsieck, who founded the company in the 19th century and made the brand famous with a swashbuckling style of salesmanship earning him the nickname Champagne Charlie. A music hall song was written about him, and there was even a movie about his life. Charlie B has a hard act to follow.
